Dear Council Members:
On June 1, The NYC Dept of Health & Mental Health presented their Annual Developmental
Disabilities Awareness and Recognition Conference at Fordham University.
Among the Awardees were Susan Williams, Parent Vice-Chair of the Council, and her late
husband Sam. Susan and Sam were recognized “in appreciation of their tireless efforts and
devotion to persons with developmental disabilities in New York City.”
We are all very fortunate to have known and worked with Sam and are equally proud and
fortunate to have Susan as a tireless colleague and advocate.
