OUR LAST CHANCE
to restore the $90 million to OPWDD
Support the “People with Developmental Disabilities Restoration and Reinvestment Act of 2013”! This bill would:· restore all funds that were actual cuts to the OPWDD budget and
· reinvest any savings (from providing lower-cost services, provider efficiencies, etc.) back into the OPWDD budget
This bill (A.6692 by Weisenberg) has 142 cosponsors, almost every member of the Assembly. If Speaker Silver allows a vote, it is sure to pass.
MAKE 2 CALLS IMMEDIATELY:
1) Call your Assembly member and tell him/her to urge Speaker Silver to hold a vote for A.6692 ASAP. To ask for your Assembly member, call the Assembly switchboard (518) 455-4100 and ask to be connected to your Assembly member. Or go to for contact info: http://assembly.state.ny.us/mem/. If you don’t know who your assembly member is go to www.iacny.org and click on “take action now”
2) Call Speaker Silver’s office at (518) 455-3791 or (212) 312-1420. Tell them to urge the Speaker to allow the Assembly to vote on A.6692 ASAP.
