Minutes from our Family Reimbursement Workshop
Thursday, November 15th Janet Davis from OPWDD Family Support Services gave an excellent overview of ALL the Manhattan reimbursement programs, such as for good and services, camp, travel and emergency overnight respite. She briefly outlined appropriate guidelines to follow when requesting financial assistance for individuals, both children and adults, who have a developmental disability and reside in Manhattan.
We were very grateful for the representatives from over fifteen (15) agencies who joined us to explain their actual programs. They are committed to making possible access to programs, goods and services, and transportation that will encourage growth and facilitate typical life experiences. Below please find a copy of the handout we distributed. We were thrilled with the overwhelming attendance we received (standing room only at the end) and look forward to seeing more new faces. A special thank you to Sinergia and their entire staff for hosting us.
