Jennifer Shaoul- Autism Conference. See announcement flyers – YAI Ballet/Yoga groups at private pay on Saturdays, both starting in late October, all spectrums in Brooklyn

2. Respite Presentations

Camp Oakhurst
You do not need to be waivered
There is help with transportation
Camp is fully accessible
21 traditional sessions now – May
Autism Respite this week until May
Ages 8+ to age 60, no upper limit
Accessible camp, state of the art swimming pool
Swimming any session and any season all activities are adaptable
Accessible nature walks
Door to door transportation for emergencies only
Taking those also with Mental Disabilities and Ranges of dependencies

Catholic Charities
Waivered requirement
5yrs and up / children and adults
1BR apartments , only 2 consumers at a time
Recreation based
1 staff member at night and 2 during the day
Ambulatory, mild medical
Need medical psychological, and ISP addendum
Gym equipment access
Providing limited transportation
Placement according to ability and interest

OPWDD eligible in waiver
OPWDD accepted if they are not but have an MSC that can assist with application
Nurse on premises
Transportation available except for the Bronx
Emergency bed available e for Manhattan

Ambulatory required
3-4yrs eligible but older children are preferred
There is a match up of consumers
Emergency respite is available
You must be waivered

AHRC – West 95th Street – must be waivered
Sinergia – West 140th – 3 beds available – waiver not needed
Children’s Aide – overnight respite available

The Fair:
Booth Registration letter will be going out soon
Outreach posters should be made up
Sending out brochures – please place them in clinics and email them to families
90 Booths, Day Services & Support Directory, Workshops, Parents get massages and gift bags
It is very important Case Managers attend
There will be less raffle money this year
Translation will be taken care of
We need wandering greeters
Need people for evaluations (self advocates from the SAANYS expressed interest in doing this)

Susan G Komen for the Cure t-Shirts (300)
