AMAC:
3-5 openings are available in the Adult Day Services Program which accepts those with a diagnosis of Autism or along the spectrum. Program hours are from 9-3, transportation is provided, and individuals need to be waiver enrolled.
Contemporary Guidance Services:
Availability in the Travel Training Program
For anyone looking to make money/extra money, staff is needed for the Holiday Respite Program which is in Manhattan and Brooklyn for those who are between the ages of 14-2
General Human Outreach:
Availability are for the following programs:
Day Hab Coordinator, MSC, (for those who are Non Medicaid eligible as well as for those who have Medicaid eligibility) and Day Hab With -Out Walls. Staff bilingual in Manadrin and Korean
United Cerebal Palsy:
Day Hab Availability for the Non Ambulatory and Medically Frail Adults
About 5 openings are available in the Bronx Respite Program
Family Connect Program has a conference on Thursday, November 201th at Hotel Penn and one of many topics is on the Transition Process
Overview of the Manhattan Transition Committee:
The Manhattan Transitional Committee is a sub- committee of the Manhattan Developmental Disabilities Council and an Advisory board to the City and State for people with Developmental Disabilities.
The Committee’s main focus is on the transition process from the DOE & Non DOE services into Adult Day Services
We meet on a monthly basis, the 2nd Wednesday of every month from 9:30 to 11:30 usually at AHRC but we can meet at other sites. If any agency’s want to host a meeting at their site please contact Kathy Kelly
Graduates:
There are 112 and graduates that need to be placed for this year’s graduates. This includes those graduates that haven’t been placed as of last June either.
Next meeting is Wednesday, October 8th, 2014 @ AHRC @ 9:30 on the 11th floor
