10:00-11:30 Briefing Session to explain the important issues. Everyone will get written “talking points.”
12:00-2:00 Group Visits to Manhattan legislators in their Manhattan offices to voice our concerns and ask for their help. We assure you that it won’t be difficult or intimidating–all you need to do is tell your story.
SPEAK OUT to preserve and improve services for people with developmental disabilities!
► We must tell our legislators how critical OPWDD* services are in the lives of people with developmental disabilities!
► We must advocate for the development of new residential services for people in urgent need!
*OPWDD = New York State’s Office for People with Developmental Disabilities
